It’s all in the details!

It really is all about the details when it comes to effective SEO on your website. It all starts with a solid and correct foundation on your website. Just like a house, your website needs to be built properly from the ground up with SEO in mind. There are a variety of elements that play into effectiveness and one of the first is your domain name.

Ideally your domain name should have your keywords in it. If your into real estate, then your domain name should include the term. Even better include in your domain name the location you concentrate in.

Here are some other important elements in effective SEO.

Your keywords: Target keywords relevant to your business. Take a couple phrases, ie: “Scottsdale real estate services” and type it into a Google search to see what type of results you get. Keyword research is a lot more detailed then this, however by using some of your phrases in a search engine you can get a good idea on competition and relevancy.

Links: Good links, not just any link. You want links to and from your website that are valid. Websites that people visit. Don’t ever hide links on your website or try to trick the search engines. In your links use your keywords as anchor text. Not just ‘click here‘.

Patrticipate: Be Online in Forums, Blogs, Directories and PR: Provide quality and relevant content in Blogs, directories, article website, and produce Press Releases when you have company announcements or news.
